The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace appointed Durga Prasad Das as Director of Engineering.
With a prolific career spanning 20 years in the hospitality industry, Durga Prasad Das has managed the engineering department across levels in flagship hotels in India and abroad. He embarked on his journey with The Oberoi Udai Vilas in 2000.
Having worked in a wide-range of hotels, Durga Prasad Das has achieved recognition for his leadership, dedication and hand-on approach proficiently handling people and products in the area of engineering to consistently generate efficacy in operations. His tenure with varied properties in different countries and cities allows him to be well equipped to handle leisure resorts and urban business hotels alike.
Durga has previously worked in Cambay Spa & Resort, Gandhinagar, Park Plaza Hotel, Ahmedabad, Pullman Gurgaon Central Park, Kempinski Ambience Hotel, New Delhi & Marsa Malaz Kempinski, Doha and Shangri-La Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives. In his last role, he was the Director of Engineering in Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, and has extensive knowledge, from hiring and training new team members to managing technology and upgrade projects.
Durga Prasad Das was recognized as Dubai Sustainable Champion by Dubai Sustainable Tourism. He has also received various certifications such as Silver and Bronze Earth Check Certifications, Internal Auditor for OHSAS, ISO 14001, Emerging Leader Facilitator and Certified Departmental Trainer (CDT).
