With Indian Fashion holding centre stage globally, ‘She Remains The Taj’ initiative under IHCL’s brand Taj, hosted ‘Walk For A Cause’, an exclusive showcase of ensembles curated for the cause of supporting VCare Foundation, by noted Indian fashion designer Shaina NC.
This event not only honours the colossal contribution of rural artisans to Indian Fashion but also celebrates women achievers who pave their own path, are fearless, free-spirited, bold, and are always on the move.
‘She Remains The Taj’ was created to devise a holistic framework of women-centric initiatives and support women-led businesses and partners. ‘Walk For A Cause’ by Shaina NC not only celebrated women achievers but also addressed an important issue by drawing light to the unsung contribution of rural weavers and artisans to eminent Indian Fashion as it showcased their intricate and distinguished work as part of a larger community outreach. In attendance were noted stars of substance such as Jacqueline Fernandez and Waheeda Rehman, who were present to support the remarkable initiative.
Known for her beautiful saree designs, Shaina NC is a master drapist amongst her many achievements, with the skillset to drape a saree in 54 different ways. The ecstatic evening also saw women achievers such as Anjali Mukerjee, a top celebrity nutritionist, IAS Sonal Goel, and Dr. Rishima Pai, who stunned many by walking the ramp.
