IHCL expands its presence in Assam, signs a Ginger Hotel in Dibrugarh

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), announced the signing of its first hotel in Dibrugarh, Assam under the Ginger brand.

The hotel is a Greenfield project on a fully fitted lease. It will be designed around the brand’s lean luxe design and service philosophy of offering a vibrant, contemporary, and seamless hospitality experience to its guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s strong commitment to North East India where we have been rapidly expanding our footprint. Dibrugarh, an industrial city in Assam, is an important centre for tea trading and serves as a gateway to prominent tourist destinations in the region. We are delighted to partner with Vela Hotel & Resort LLP for this Ginger hotel.”

The 77-key hotel is strategically located on KC Gogoi Path in the city centre, a short drive from Dibrugarh Airport as well as significant tourist spots. The hotel will feature Qmin, the signature all-day diner presenting a delightful array of global and local favourites. It will also offer a state-of-the-art fitness centre and meeting rooms.
