Chef Manifesto hosted by IHM, Pusa, New Delhi in collaboration with IFCA.
The event was attended by around 80 Chefs from all over India, along with students of IHM, Pusa.
The Chef’s Manifesto is a chef-led movement that brings together culinary professionals from around the world to explore how they can help to create a more sustainable food system. It’s essentially a community of chefs who are passionate about using their skills and influence to make a positive impact on the world.
The Chefs’ Manifesto is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are a set of 17 goals that aim to address the most pressing challenges facing humanity, including poverty, hunger, and climate change.
The Manifesto itself is a framework that provides chefs with simple, practical actions they can take to make their kitchens and businesses more sustainable. The Chefs’ Manifesto is not just about changing how chefs cook, it’s also about changing how we think about food. It’s about recognizing that food is more than just something we eat; it’s a powerful tool that we can use to create a better world.
The event started with a Formal Inaugural (By Chef Dr. Manjeet Singh Gill, IFCA President, Paul Newheum, K K Pant, Principal, IHM, Pusa and Meenakshi Sumbly, HoD Rooms Division), followed by a Panel Discussion and 3 Food Demonstration by the Chefs of IFCA.
