The Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts has announced the appointment of Shweta Jain as the new Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.
A seasoned professional and dynamic brand visionary, Shweta brings with her a wealth of experience, having spearheaded South Asia’s luxury lifestyle evolution across various industries, including Spirits, Consumer Packaged Goods, Wellness, Media, and Communications.
Shweta Jain, in her last role as Chief Business Development Officer at Diageo India, Shweta crafted transformative strategies that drove long-term double-digit premiumization growth. A seasoned commercial and marketing leader, she has a proven track record of driving bold initiatives, fostering innovative experiential platforms, and enhancing value growth. Her notable achievements include leading omnichannel experiences for Johnnie Walker, forging strategic partnerships for Singleton and Nicobar, launching Don Julio in India, and introducing sustainability-focused luxury brands like Godawan.
Shweta’s global recognition is underscored by prestigious awards such as the ‘Keeper of the Quaich 2022’ for her outstanding contribution to the global growth of Scotch Whisky, ‘The Whisky Magazine Scotch Whisky Icon of the Year,’ and acknowledgment as one of Black Book’s ‘Top Luxury Leaders in India.’

Shweta holds an MBA with a major in Marketing from IMS-DAVV University, Indore, and has completed studies in Luxury Strategy for Emerging Markets at HEC Paris. She is actively involved in sharing her insights and mentoring startups, founders, and management students across various platforms and institutions. She has also authored papers on DEI and strategies for super-premium luxury category growth in the dynamic Indian market.
Beyond her professional and academic achievements, Shweta enjoys travelling and cooking with her husband and her children.
