An evocative representation of the Redeemer celebration, the most cherished festival for Venetians, through a watch, the Redentore Bellanotte by VENEZIANICO which embodies the spirit of resilience and unity while honouring four centuries of history and tradition of the “Serenissima.”
For over 400 years, on the third Sunday of July, the Redeemer Feast, or “feast of feasts,” has been celebrated in the historic lagoon city, one of the most significant events for true Venetians like Alberto and Alessandro Morelli, founders of the watchmaking brand Venezianico.
Born as a sign of gratitude for the end of the terrible plague epidemic of 1576-1577, it is a religious and popular festival, steeped in tradition and history, which deserved to be celebrated by a brand that has proudly made “Venetianity” its dominant leitmotif.
The Redentore Bellanotte was created with the idea of paying homage to this feast, representing the splendid nighttime scenery of Piazza San Marco with the Doge’s Palace and the Basilica of the Redeemer illuminated by fireworks as per tradition.
Design and functionality, with a 40mm 316L steel case and a thickness of only 11.5mm, a perfect balance of elegance and practicality that amazes with its off-centre dial, made using aventurine, mother-of-pearl, and brass, combined in an intricate four-level structure.
The characteristic off-centre dial on the right side, usually exclusive to high-end watches, is made of white mother-of-pearl, an iridescent material that depicts the moon and is delicately framed by a polished steel ring.
Time is defined by a micro-automatic movement, the Seiko NH05, with a diameter of only 17.55 mm, fixed with a brass ring decorated with a perlage finish.
A four-level construction starting from a starry sky made of aventurine, followed by the small off-centre mother-of-pearl dial symbolizing the Moon, a satin disc depicting fireworks, with a bas-relief of the Doge’s Palace and the Basilica of the Redeemer, both rhodium-plated, in the background.
All to create a hypnotic and suggestive effect with a Piazza San Marco that comes to life at night, with the majestic Basilica of the Redeemer standing out in the background and the Doge’s Palace on the left while at the centre of the scene is the proud lion of San Marco, a symbol of the power of the Serenissima.
The starry night then envelops everything, offering a magical backdrop for the fireworks that light up the sky, creating an atmosphere of celebration and joy.
In perfect balance between elegance and practicality, the onion-shaped crown, along with a reduced crown guard, improves ergonomics, facilitating the adjustment of the watch while the harmonious lugs, with a curved strap attachment, ensure optimal comfort on the wrist, guaranteeing a pleasant and comfortable user experience.
The strap of the Redentore Bellanotte, with a minimal and seamless design, is handmade in Italy by expert Tuscan artisans, in the heart of the main leather district, using traditional vegetable tanning techniques and relying on high-quality leathers that ensure its prestige and long durability.

With a 42mm case made of this vibrant and evolving material, Nereide Bronze boasts, under the anti-reflective sapphire glass, a gradient-effect dial fading from dark grey in the centre to black at the edges, with stick hands and indices treated with superluminova. It is framed by a unidirectional bronze bezel with 120 clicks, adorned with numbers and indices in superluminova.
Engraved on the caseback, made of 316L steel, are the majestic Bronze Horses of St. Mark, a tangible symbol of the deep connection between the watch and Venetian history, as well as power and prosperity.
Available with a rubber strap and optionally with a sophisticated leather variant, this watch embodies the vitality of bronze, offering a combination of style and durability that suits the needs of anyone seeking a lasting and captivating timepiece, yet also a diver with a waterproof rating of up to 300 meters.
The optional handmade leather strap is enriched with Latin engravings, the same as the oldest mosaic in the Basilica of St. Mark, dating back to the 13th century, illustrating the solemn oath of Doge Lorenzo Tiepolo in 1268 during the transfer of the relic of St. Mark from the Doge’s Palace to the basilica.
