Visa Options for Indian Travellers
Stopover Visa
Valid for up to 96 hours, a stopover visa can be applied for 90 days in advance on the Saudia airline website
By paying a nominal charge for administration and insurance. It is ideal for those looking to experience the country’s highlights on a short visit.
e-Visa
With a valid tourist or business visa from the USA, UK, or Schengen countries with a stamped proof of entry from the issuing country, Indian passport holders can avail of the e-Visa. Permanent residents of these countries can also avail it. GCC residents and visa holders with a minimum validity of three months beyond the entry date into Saudi can apply too.
It can be obtained before departure through the official portal. The e-Visa provides a seamless entry experience for Indian travellers who meet the eligibility criteria. This option is perfect for those planning longer stays.
Visa-on-Arrival
Similar criteria as e-Visa are valid to obtain this option as it’s available at Saudi international airports.
For spontaneous travellers, visa-on-arrival offers convenience and ease, allowing eligible visitors to obtain their visas at the airport. The self-service kiosks and passport control offices make the process swift.
Tasheer Centres
Travellers who do not meet the criteria for the above-mentioned visas can apply through the Tasheer Centres located across India. The process includes document preparation, appointment booking, application submission, biometric enrolment, and passport collection.
With 10 visa facilitation centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Calicut, Saudi aims to expand its reach by adding more dedicated centres in additional cities. All visa options are also valid for those wishing to perform Umrah.
