Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board is preparing a special strategy to promote eco-tourism in the state.
Under this, efforts are being made to connect local people with self-employment and income without damaging the natural sites and cultural heritage. For this, a plan has been made to prepare nature guides. Students of various schools will be given curated tours to Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary and other places.
This information was given by the state’s Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh. He said that the natural beauty of Uttar Pradesh is amazing. There are immense possibilities of eco-tourism here. Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board has been constituted under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister. The board is bringing the possibilities of eco-tourism to reality. Tourist facilities are being developed continuously at tourist places. Its results are also visible. Rapdi in Firozabad is a big example. Due to increase in basic facilities, the number of tourists is continuously increasing here.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said that nature guides will be deployed at places like Dudhwa, Katarniaghat and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. It will be inaugurated from Dudhwa. All nature guides will be trained at Manyavar Kanshiram Tourism Management Institute (MKITM). Its format has also been prepared. The age limit for nature guides is 18 to 35 years and minimum education is Intermediate. Its objective is to provide employment to the youth as well as better facilities to tourists during travel.
Jaiveer Singh informed that the curated tour includes Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary in Unnao district, Okhla Bird Sanctuary in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Sur Sarovar Bird Sanctuary in Agra, Rajdari Waterfall in Chandauli, Aura Tanda Waterfall in Mirzapur, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve and Etawah Lion Safari. They will be given detailed information about that place and tourist attractions by experts. A film will also be shown along with the tour. The first curated tour will start in Unnao district with EaseMyTrip. Talks are going on with various schools for this. Packages for tourists are being prepared by EaseMyTrip. EaseMyTrip has an MoU with the Eco Tourism Development Board.
