The Leela Gandhinagar has announced the appointment of Prakash Shah as the new Director of Engineering
In this role, Prakash will also oversee engineering operations at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, managed by The Leela Gandhinagar.
Prakash Shah has over 32 years of experience, having worked with prestigious hospitality brands such as Oberoi, Taj, Accor and Radisson Hotels. His most recent role was as Corporate Head of Engineering at Radisson Blu MBD Hotel, where he led engineering and maintenance operations across multiple locations.
With a proven track record in operations and maintenance, Prakash has vast expertise in hotel pre-opening setups, managing handovers and takeovers of new projects and facility management. His experience spans areas such as procurement, contract management, mechanical integrity and compliance with statutory requirements. He has also spearheaded initiatives on energy conservation through cutting-edge systems and technology implementations.

Prakash has completed a diploma in electrical engineering and a certificate course as electrical service technician from the Technical Examination Board, Gujarat.
