The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has announced the appointment of Chef Amit Kumar as the new Executive Chef
With over 14 years of culinary expertise spanning prestigious Marriott International properties, Chef Kumar brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to his new role. His journey in the culinary world reflects a passion for innovation, quality, and elevating dining experiences.
Chef Amit’s career has seen him serve as Executive Chef at renowned establishments like Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa and Aloft New Delhi Aerocity, where he transformed the culinary landscapes of these properties. His recent tenure at Coorg Marriott saw him leading the culinary team with excellence, ensuring the resort’s reputation as a sought-after dining destination.
At Aloft New Delhi Aerocity, Chef Amit was responsible for the overall culinary operations of a 253-key hotel with three F&B outlets, banquets, and in-room dining services. His leadership was instrumental in positioning the property as a premier F&B destination in the capital city.
Chef Amit’s extensive experience also includes roles at Le Méridien Goa, Le Méridien Gurgaon, and The Westin Hyderabad, where he honed his expertise across various cuisines, including Italian, and managed butchery, commissary, and nightlife culinary innovations.
In his new position at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, Chef Amit will lead the culinary team to curate an extraordinary dining experience across the hotel’s restaurants, banquets, and in-room services. His appointment is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the hotel’s food and beverage offerings, blending modern techniques with authentic flavors.
