Hilton has announced the signing of its flagship brand, Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Udaipur, with Hilton Udaipur, marking its debut in the iconic ‘City of Lakes’
Developed in partnership with Elysian Hotels Private Limited, the 118-key Hilton Udaipur is slated to open in early 2026.
This signing solidifies Hilton’s commitment to broadening its portfolio in the northwestern state, following the signings of its iconic Waldorf Astoria brand in 2023 and India’s third Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Jaipur, earlier this year.
Udaipur is the crown jewel of Rajasthan’s tourism landscape known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning architecture, and picturesque lakes. The new-build Hilton Udaipur will offer breathtaking views of the city’s famous lakes and palaces including Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake. Seamless connectivity to Udaipur’s city centre, airport, and railway station will further enhance the hotel’s appeal as a preferred destination for all travellers seeking comfort and best-in-class hospitality in the heart of Rajasthan.
Zubin Saxena, Senior Vice President and Regional Head, Hilton, South Asia said, “The signing of our first property in Udaipur marks a significant growth milestone for us as it ties in with our strategic expansion plan of being present in India’s most prized tourism destinations. Udaipur, often referred to as the “Venice of the East”, is a preferred destination for both international and domestic travellers for tourism and weddings. This presents an exceptional opportunity for us to cater to the rising accommodation demands of the city. We found a wonderful partner in Elysian Hotels and together we will deliver exceptional hospitality experiences to guests in the charming city of Udaipur.”
Ravindra Singh, director, Elysian Hotels Private Limited, said, “As we embark on our first hospitality venture, that too with a globally recognized brand like Hilton, we take pride in bringing Udaipur’s first property. This hotel, situated in the city’s iconic lake precinct will set a new benchmark for hospitality experiences reflective of the region’s regal splendour and will contribute to Udaipur’s growing appeal and desirability as a preferred tourist and wedding destination.”
