The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has announced the appointment of Shiv Yadav as its new Director of Finance
With an impressive track record and a wealth of experience in hospitality finance, Shiv will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiencies, and driving the hotel’s continued success.
Shiv steps into this role following his outstanding tenure as Director of Finance at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, where he distinguished himself by refining financial processes, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of financial discipline. His visionary leadership significantly contributed to the property’s financial performance.
Before this, Shiv served as Financial Controller at Accor, Pune, where he directed financial planning, analysis, and reporting, bolstering the hotel’s financial standing. At Marriott International, Kolkata, he took on senior finance positions such as Cluster Finance Manager and Assistant Manager Finance, where he managed multi-property financial operations, developed strategic plans, and delivered sustained financial growth.
Shiv’s career journey is underscored by his earlier roles with prestigious organizations, including Radisson Hotel Group, Prowess International, and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Kolkata. His versatility and depth of experience in finance and accounting have been honed across these leading brands.
He began his professional career as a Summer Trainee and later a Corporate Trainer at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, where he developed a strong foundation in finance and corporate training. Shiv holds an enviable academic pedigree, with a Certificate in Financial Accounting and Analysis from the Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru, an MBA in Accounting and Finance from SRM University, a Bachelor of Commerce from Ranchi University, and specialized training in Computer and Information Science from DOEACC, New Delhi.
