Montblanc celebrates the third and final instalment in the collection that celebrates Jules Verne’s beloved literary adventure follows the hero’s return from Yokohama back to London.

Montblanc has released the third and final chapter in its acclaimed Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection, inspired by Jules Verne’s timeless literary adventure. This final instalment captures the dramatic conclusion of British gentleman Phileas Fogg’s epic journey, chronicling his return from Yokohama back to London.
Each writing instrument and accessory in the Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection pays tribute to Verne’s beloved novel and its iconic characters, Phileas Fogg and his loyal valet Passepartout. The first edition narrated the journey from London to Bombay, followed by the second covering Bombay to Yokohama. The third and concluding edition details the 36-day voyage from Yokohama to London via the United States.
Design Rooted in Literary Legacy
This final edition comprises four exquisitely designed writing instruments. Each cap is adorned with a smoke-inspired motif, symbolising the trains that carried Fogg across North America, accompanied by an illustration of pressure valves typically found in locomotive engine rooms. A train locomotive cartouche decorates the cap, while rivets and chains engraved into the cone mirror the physical links between train carriages.
A red lacquered heart embellishes the clip of each edition—representing both Fogg’s love for Princess Aouda, whom he rescues and marries, and the pivotal wager that sparked his global journey. The nib features an engraved hot air balloon, referencing Verne’s earlier novel Five Weeks in a Balloon, along with the dates marking Fogg’s return trip.
On the cap top, the number “80” denotes the total duration of Fogg’s planned journey, while “36” highlights the length of this final leg from Yokohama to London.
