Changi Terminal 2 lounges to be upgraded by Singapore Airlines with a $45 million customer-focused transformation

In a major push to enhance the on-ground travel experience, Singapore Airlines has announced a S$45 million investment to revamp its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 2. The comprehensive transformation will unfold over the next two years, beginning on 15 April 2025, with completion targeted for mid-2027.
The renovations will increase the lounges’ total space and seating capacity by 50%, featuring enhanced facilities, design elements drawn from SIA’s flagship lounges at Terminal 3, and an expanded range of food and beverage options.

“This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers,” said Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines. “Building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounges, we are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully curated offerings to Terminal 2. This upgrade reaffirms our continued dedication to providing a seamless, world-class experience that meets the high expectations of our discerning customers.”

The all-new First Class SilverKris Lounge will feature a more spacious layout with higher ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can expect a premium bar experience with barista-made coffee in the morning. Live cooking stations will serve a variety of Singaporean, Asian, and Western dishes, alongside a comprehensive self-service buffet aligned with offerings at Terminal 3.
The Business Class SilverKris Lounge will expand by 30%, introducing a quiet rest area with recliners, a redesigned living room space, and diverse seating such as wingback chairs, sofa seats, and productivity pods. An expanded buffet and a new full-service bar will offer barista coffee in the morning and signature cocktails in the evening.
The KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will double in capacity and introduce varied seating including armchairs, workstations, and dining areas. New in-lounge amenities such as restrooms and shower suites will allow guests to freshen up before flights.
To minimise passenger disruption, the upgrade will be carried out in phases:
- Construction of the First Class SilverKris Lounge begins on 15 April 2025, with completion expected in Q4 2025.
- The Business Class SilverKris Lounge renovation will commence in Q4 2025.
- Work on the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge will begin in the first half of 2026.
Singapore Airlines’ investment in Changi’s Terminal 2 lounges is a forward-looking approach to delivering high-comfort experiences for every travel journey.
