Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park appointed Anand Nair as General Manager.
He joined the IHG Southwest Asia family in 2019 as the General Manager for InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort.
Anand brings with him 24 years of hospitality industry experience, with first-hand expertise in managing Business & Leisure hotel portfolios. He joined the IHG South West Asia family in 2019 as the General Manager of InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort.
Anand Nair started his career with Leela Group of hotels as Management Trainee, Food & Beverage. He continued to hone his passion as a restaurateur and grew across many luxury hotel chains while working in the capacity of Director of Food & Beverage. After his stint with The Leela Palace Bengaluru, Anand went on to set up and launch Taj Getaway in Nasik, later taking the helm of Food & Beverage in Taj Bentota Resort & Spa, Srilanka.
He came back to Bengaluru with Taj Vivant and was one of the few key members to actively work on the growth and service design of the famed Karavalli restaurant. Native from Kerala, Anand took up the challenge of launching Vasundhara Sarovar Premiere hotel in 2010 in the capacity of General Manager and continued growing the brand until 2019.
A seasoned high potential General Manager, Anand is known for an acute sense of business strategy and competitive market stabilisation which he has proven with a track record of year-on-year profitable business growth. Over the years Anand has honed his skills in understanding the business and the luxury market and is recognized as a highly motivated and dynamic leader.
In his new role, Anand will oversee the complete operations and management of the hotels along with the senior leadership teams. He will ensure the highest levels of guest engagement, profitability and continue to build on the positioning and reputation of Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park.
