Atul Bhalla has been appointed as the Area Manager – West, ITC Hotels & General Manager, ITC Maratha. In this role, Bhalla oversees properties of the chain within the Western region covering the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and cities like Jodhpur & Khimsar.
In his previous role, Bhalla was in charge of both the Kolkata properties, namely ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal. He also spearheaded the launch of ITC Royal Bengal, the chain’s 14th Luxury Collection Hotel in India. His journey with ITC Hotels began more than two decades back with ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad in 1998, and since then, he has held Senior Management positions across various ITC Hotels properties based in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.
He is also spearheading the expansion of the chain within the region with upcoming projects such as ITC Narmada Ahmedabad and Welcomhotel Ahmedabad.
He additionally heads the F&B Council at ITC Hotels Division and is a mentor to the function.
Some of his most noteworthy achievements include being an integral part of the pre-opening team of ITC Royal Bengal & ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, two of ITC Hotels’ biggest and grandest properties.
He is a passionate hotelier with interests in golfing and offbeat driving.
