Sofitel Mumbai BKC has announced the appointment of Bjorn Fernandes as its new Director of Sales & Marketing.
With an illustrious career spanning over 17 years in the world of hospitality, Bjorn’s expertise and passion will elevate the Sofitel experience even further. Prior to joining Sofitel Mumbai, Bjorn held the prestigious role of Director of Sales & Marketing at Taj North Goa, where he spearheaded the sales, marketing, and PR efforts for Taj Fort Aguada and Taj Holiday Village.
Bjorn’s vast experience also includes his leadership at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake and Marriott Executive Apartments, where he successfully managed the largest inventory within Marriott South Asia, driving significant growth in B2B business, MICE, long-stay solutions, and innovative digital marketing strategies.
With an MBA in Marketing from MET Bandra and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from MMK College, Bjorn’s rich background aligns perfectly with Sofitel’s dedication to offering a refined blend of French luxury and local culture.
Outside of his professional achievements, Bjorn is an avid traveler, a devoted family man, and an enthusiast of both basketball and Formula 1 racing.
