Under the theme Fair Fun Fest, Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), and Thai Trade Center New Delhi, with support from the Royal Thai Embassy and Tourism Authority in New Delhi, launched Thailand Week Trade Fair & Festival 2022 at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, New Delhi.
In a video message, said Arada Fuangtong, Deputy Director-General of DITP, “Despite challenges like the pandemic, Thailand and India could still enjoy the impressively new high record of bilateral trade at 14.9 billion USD in 2021. Such a remarkable increase in our bilateral trade was attributable to DITP’s practical changes in strategies, mindsets, and working methods, as guided by the well-developed policy of the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand, Jurin Laksanawisit .”
Continued Arada Fuangtong, “DITP is very proud to announce that “Thailand Week Trade Fair & Festival 2022” will be the first full-scale physical trade fair in the capital city of India to continue promoting our bilateral trade and business interactions.”
The Thailand Week Trade Fair & Festival 2022 provided Indian consumers with opportunities to explore Thailand’s amazing culture and products. Meanwhile, importers and distributors can leverage trade opportunities with Thai exporters, which can lead to sustainable partnerships and profitability in the long run. The fair will too place between 26th to 28th August 2022 at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, New Delhi.
Saithong Soiphet, Director of Thai Trade Center New Delhi, said, “DITP is evolving this year’s trade show as a physical platform to boost trade, business, and people-to-people contact between India and Thailand. We work closely with the Indian distribution network to understand the consumer’s needs and trends.”
She continued, “As a result, more than 150 Thai products are showcased at Thailand Week Trade Fair & Festival 2022 ranging from food & beverages, fashion & accessories, health & beauty products, and household & decor products to meet demands of the growing Indian market. In addition, the event will also bring a wide range of cultural activities for visitors to experience amazing Thailand, including Thai cooking demonstration, authentic Thai food and fruit tasting, and cultural performances.”
