Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty has announced the promotion of Janet Thadou as its new Director of Rooms.
Janet’s career started as a Management Trainee at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi in 2007 at the culmination of which she was promoted to Assistant Manager Housekeeping in 2008.
In December 2009 she joined The Grand Hotel, New Delhi laterally. Her next assignment took her to the Leela Palace, New Delhi, in May 2010 where she was promoted to Deputy Housekeeper in 2013. In 2014 she returned to The Indian Hotels Company Limited with The Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi as a Deputy Housekeeper.
Janet joined the Hyatt family as an Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt Regency Chennai in August 2019. She was subsequently promoted to Rooms Division Manager in April 2022, a role she held until joining us laterally in December 2022.
Commenting on her promotion, Janet Thadou said, “My journey with Grand Hyatt Kochi has been exciting and inspiring. Everyday has been a learning experience and the hotel has given me a lot of freedom to try out new ideas for guest experience and other revenue opportunities.”
Janet hails from Guwahati, Assam. She has acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from IHM Pusa Delhi. She is a responsible and at the same fun loving person.
