JW Marriott Bengaluru announced the appointment of Mahesh Kini as the Executive Chef.

Mahesh Kini brings in over 22 years of diverse culinary and food & beverage management experience. In his new position, he will be spearheading the award winning specialty restaurants, Alba, poolside Indian restaurant Spice Terrace, all-day dining restaurant, JW Kitchen, contemporary Bar Uno, Merak, offering Asian fare, exotic cocktails, and a vibrant nightlife and NuAir and overseeing kitchen operations.
He has been associated with eminent global hospitality brands and was last associated with the picturesque Maldives as the pre-opening Director of Food & Beverage at InterContinental Maldives Maamuagau Resort. He has previously led culinary teams, most notably at Hyatt Hotels and Taj Hotels in India and overseas.
A consummate F&B leader and quintessential chef, Mahesh finds himself in his elements forging new restaurant concepts and curating niche dining experiences. He opines that F&B is the face of the hotel, the biggest driver of positive sentiment and thus guest delight.
On his new stint, Mahesh said, “I am truly delighted to be re-associated with Marriott Hotels and couldn’t have asked for a better property than JW Marriott Bengaluru, an establishment with a truly vibrant F&B canvas. With a few new openings lined up, I am raring to unleash some culinary wizardry upon the vibrant city of Bengaluru.”
