With more than 14 years of experience, Riyaz Khan, Sous Chef Pastry at Taj Lakefront, Bhopal says, “With the arrival of the festive season I can already hear the melodious carols and can’t help but get ready to prepare the delights of the season. Be it Christmas or any other festival from around the world, we at our company are known for curating world-class cuisine without missing out on its authenticity of it.”
He adds, “For example, we soak the ingredients of plum cake in the misen for a period of 45 days before finally baking it just to get the right flavour. It’s our first priority that it becomes a fond memory for the guest whenever they relish on our delicacies.”

Method
- Place butter & sugar into the mixing bowl, mix till gets fluffy
- Add eggs one by one
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
- Add into the butter mixture
- Add soaked fruits mix properly
- Add oil & finally fold jam by hand
- Put in desired baking pan & and bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 50-60 minutes
- Once get baked well leave aside for cooling.
- For decorating take little amount of Marzipan & sugar fondant.
