Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin: Reopening after renovations, April 2025

In the lively neighbourhood of Mitte, near the Berlin Palace Humboldt Forum, Radisson Collection Hotel Berlin will reopen this April with a new 16-metre-high vertical garden – featuring 2,000 plants from 22 different species, planted across 36 tree-like slats, with the installation being illuminated in different ways throughout the day.

Union Investment worked with Dan Pearlman, a Berlin-based interior design office, to develop the concept of the living tree with the aim of bringing greenery into the lobby while also making use of the existing concrete base. The sculpture will change over time as the plants grow.
