Goa Marriott Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Rajesh Chahar as its new General Manager.
With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, Rajesh brings extensive experience and a proven track record of excellence to his new leadership role at the resort.
Rajesh’s journey within the Marriott brand has seen him excel in numerous key leadership roles across both India and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel in the UK, where his leadership and operational expertise were instrumental in the hotel’s success. Prior to this, Rajesh played a pivotal role in the pre-opening teams for the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa and the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, demonstrating his deep-rooted connection to Marriott properties in India.
Throughout his international career, Rajesh has held significant positions across various departments. After relocating to the UK, he led Room Operations at the Bristol City Centre Marriott and Food & Beverage Operations at the Bristol Royal Marriott. His career trajectory continued with operational leadership roles at the Cardiff Marriott and London Heathrow Marriott, followed by property leadership positions at prominent Marriott Hotels in Edinburgh, Leicester, and the Forest of Arden. His strong business acumen, combined with his deep understanding of market dynamics, positions him exceptionally well to lead the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa in this new chapter.
