Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach announced the appointment of Ravi Rai as General Manager.
Joining the hotel with extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry, Ravi Rai gets on board to oversee day-to-day operations and provide strategic guidance under his leadership.
Having completed a diploma in Hotel Management from Dina Institute of Pune, Ravi Rai has a total of 20 years of experience, out of which he has worked with Accor Hotels for 10+ years. Apart from Accor Hotels, Ravi has worked with renowned properties such as Hilton, Taj and Holiday Inn. His most recent assignment was as Cluster General Manager with the Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach, The Bheemili Resort Visakhapatnam managed by Accor and Novotel Vijayawada Varun.
Some of the key responsibilities he would assume with the role would be to develop strategic plans, review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, oversee employees and establish a highly motivational work environment, implement innovative changes while adhering to company standards, seek out opportunities for expansion and growth, improving operations and financial performances and above all, be a good leader and a mentor to all employees, alike.
Proving his dedication to his profession, Ravi Rai has successfully managed payroll costs during the lockdown. He believed in assessing facts and figures to make an informed decision.
Ravi Rai has won accolades during his stint at Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach. He was awarded the General Manager of the Year, and under his leadership, the property was also conferred the Excellence Award for “Best Coastal Hotel in India”.
On the personal front, Ravi Rai likes to spend his time with his son and going for solo long drives.
