Le Meridien Kochi has announced the appointment of Sajit Sebastian as its new Director of Sales.
Sajit Sebastian is a seasoned professional with 16 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry and a proven track record in leadership across various domains. Sajit began his career in the front office department at the Leeds Marriott Hotel, United Kingdom, in 2008 before transitioning to sales with Accor Hotels in 2012.
In 2014, he joined Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad as Assistant Sales Manager. His dynamic leadership soon saw him rise to the position of Associate Director of Sales at Crowne Plaza, and later, Director of Sales in 2017. In 2018, Sajit took on a pivotal role as Cluster Director of Sales at Renaissance and Four Points by Sheraton Ahmedabad. His journey then led him back to Accor Hotels, where he successfully led Grand Mercure Ahmedabad.
In 2021, Sajit expanded his leadership portfolio beyond hospitality, taking charge of Administration, Operations, and Procurement for Amara Learning Spaces, overseeing seven schools under the company’s umbrella. In this role, he excelled in driving operational efficiency, ensuring seamless administrative processes, and optimizing procurement strategies. His leadership significantly contributed to the smooth running of these institutions.
Sajit Sebastian has been instrumental in driving business growth from Government and Corporate sectors, managing key high-profile events, including outdoor catering for the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. His expertise in securing wedding business from affluent families and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) has further boosted revenue growth.
A graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, Sajit is also passionate about exploring new cuisines, a tech enthusiast, and a traveller who enjoys discovering places with his wife, Shweta, who is also an avid hotelier. Known for his charismatic leadership and growth mind set, Sajit is a social individual who thrives on building meaningful relationships. Under his guidance, teams have consistently developed both personally and professionally, achieving new heights in performance.
