Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa Bangalore has announced the appointment of Shafee Ahmed as the new Cluster General Manager.
Shafee Ahmed, with three decades in the hospitality industry, is a passionate hotelier who believes that a memorable customer experience epitomizes true hospitality. After graduating from Hotel Management school, he embarked on his career by honing his culinary skills as a chef at Holiday Inn, Bangalore. Over time, he transitioned into sales and marketing, discovering his strength in direct interaction with people. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the National Institute of Sales.
Specializing in sales and marketing, Shafee has held key positions as head of these functions at prominent hotels such as Raintree, Asiana, and K. Raheja Hotels in Chennai and South India. Leveraging his expertise, he founded his own hospitality brand, Purpletree, establishing himself as a successful entrepreneur. Additionally, he has supported many budding business investors in launching their hospitality ventures as a consultant.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Shafee returned to full-time work, serving as the General Manager of E-Residences and Hotels at Express Avenue, Chennai. He is currently the Cluster General Manager of Gokulam Grand Hotels & Spa in Bangalore. An evangelist in the industry, Shafee is guided by the principle that ‘Hospitality Matters.’
