Solar Aqua re-emerges, reinvented in its 2.0 avatar. Stepping back into the spotlight with new models, it celebrates its storied past while embracing modern innovations.
These timepieces pay homage to their historic roots, blending the original technical excellence with a modern twist. All the while, they proudly retain the meticulous Swiss craftsmanship that has always been their hallmark.
The history and roots of the company make for an interesting read. As the 19th century drew to a close, marking the dawn of an era dominated by department stores, Timothy Eaton embarked on a visionary journey. He set out to craft a line of exceptional watches that fused the precision of Swiss engineering with a design tailored for the North American market. This ambition gave birth to the esteemed Eaton watches, later evolving into the iconic Solar Aqua brand.
Solar Aqua has thus transcended from being a legendary name to a vivid reality, embodying a rich history and a proud tradition that couldn’t be left in the annals of time. There has been a great revival, a fresh narrative with a contemporary flair and an eye towards the future. It was a welcome-back moment for Solar Aqua!
Solar Aqua has launched The Deep Bay Black
A diver designed for extreme conditions, already tested in the dark depths of Buffin Bay at 2,136 meters, now in its black case version, it is ready to challenge the highest altitudes on the wrist of Himalayan climber Sanu Sherpa.
A historic watch brand with over a century of history, recently revived by the U-BOAT Group, Solar Aqua is gearing up to release its acclaimed Deep Bay model with a PVD-treated black case, aiming to conquer the heights of the Himalayas.
The Deep Bay Black boasts a 45mm case framed by a unidirectional steel bezel with a glossy black ceramic insert that emphasizes its bold and distinctive character.
Beneath the high-quality sapphire crystal, there are three dial variants in a gradient style, intentionally inspired by natural elements: the black of the deep sea, the blue of the clearest skies, and the green of rejuvenating nature. They all shade into a solid black at the bottom, with contrasting white superluminova indexes, hands, and markers.
Inside the case, equipped with a helium release valve that ensures extreme pro-dive functionality, beats the Swiss automatic movement Peseux P224, specially modified for Solar Aqua, guaranteeing absolute accuracy and precision.
Completing the three versions of the Deep Bay Black, with hidden lugs within the case, is a black silicone strap or alternatively a steel bracelet with a deployment clasp made from the same material and finish as the case.
This watch is designed for extreme conditions, not only for deep-sea adventures but for all those who want to fully experience nature with the spirit of exploration, unafraid of challenges. This is why Solar Aqua has partnered with Sanu Sherpa, a Himalayan climber and the first person in the world to have scaled all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks at least twice.
Inspired by his determination, inner strength, humility, and nobility of spirit, as well as his harmonious and respectful lifestyle towards nature, Solar Aqua has decided to include him in its limitless crew, already composed of very special athletes, and is getting ready to accompany him in his upcoming endeavours with a Deep Bay Black as a faithful climbing companion on his wrist.
