Hyatt Place Vadodara announced the appointment of Suvendu Roy as Assistant General Manager, Food and Beverage Division.
With over 18 years of experience and a proven track record of excellence in managing the culinary division, Suvendu has been re-designated from the position of Executive Chef to take on this new role. His passion for innovation and strong commitment to delivering outstanding guest experience has led him to forge a path of exceptional leadership.
As Assistant General Manager, F&B Division, Suvendu will head the culinary and beverage service divisions of the hotel and will be responsible to provide guests with a holistic dining experience.
Under his leadership and guidance as Head Chef and subsequently Executive Chef, Hyatt Place Vadodara has hosted numerous large-scale outdoor catering events, weddings and experiential food festivals since its opening in December 2021.
His journey with Hyatt started in 2005 as a Commis in Park Hyatt Goa, followed by Chef De Cuisine in 2011 for Grand Hyatt Goa (pre-opening), after which he was appointed as Head Chef at Hyatt Pune in 2014. He has also been associated with leading hospitality brands such as Taj Exotica Goa, Club Mahindra Karnataka, a prominent restaurant chain in Qatar and has even ventured into a consultancy role for the pre-opening of a restaurant in Spain.
Commenting on his appointment, Suvendu Roy said, “My journey with Hyatt has been extremely fruitful so far and and I am excited to take on this new role, which will act as a stepping stone to achieve the vision I have for Hyatt Place Vadodara.
