Raising a toast to the tasteful collaboration of French excellence and modern Indian aesthetics the two brands known for their dedication to modern luxury and sophisticated elegance came together in a celeb party. GREY GOOSE Vive Le Voyage collaborated with leading couturiers Shantanu & Nikhil to present a curated selection of limited-edition bar accessories, celebrating the French brand’s legacy of good times, simple luxuries, and sensorial experiences.

The collection was unveiled at a retro-themed celeb party that epitomized French sophistication and refined taste at The Piano Man. The celeb party featured a stunning bar experience, a jazz performance by Saba Azaad and Madboy Mink, and a couture presentation by Shantanu & Nikhil, with the iconic Zeenat Aman and Siddharth Malhotra, making it a soiree to remember.

“Our design approach towards this collaborative barware collection reflects a vision of style that transcends traditional boundaries of France and India, much like the effortless sophistication of Grey Goose and our brand. The choice of materials, such as the nostalgic Patina gold and the luxurious Royal Blue with self-textures, further enhances the collection’s representation of luxury and craftsmanship,” said the designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil at the celeb party.

“We are delighted to formally present GREY GOOSE Vive Le Voyage in collaboration with Shantanu & Nikhil. As Indian consumers increasingly seek exclusive experiences for self-expression, we recognise a distinctive opportunity to craft unforgettable moments inspired by French sophistication and elegance. Whether celebrating personal milestones, professional achievements, or simply enjoying gatherings with friends, this collection of bar accessories is designed to elevate celebratory occasions, embodying a lifestyle of understated yet refined taste,” said Mahesh Kanchan, Marketing Director, India and Neighboring Countries, Bacardi.

I’ve worked with truly unique Indian ingredients, blending them with the sophisticated flavours of GREY GOOSE to create tastes that are simple yet carry a refreshing element of surprise. This menu offers an artful homage to both traditional Eastern and Western flavours, bringing together the best of both worlds in every martini,” said Yangdup Lama.

Limited-edition bar accessories are specially crafted tools and decorative pieces that not only enhance the functionality of a bar but also add an element of exclusivity and style. These accessories often include items like cocktail shakers, jiggers, strainers, bottle openers, and ice buckets, each designed with a focus on both form and function.

Crafted from premium materials such as stainless steel, crystal, or fine wood, these limited-edition pieces are more than just tools—they are collector’s items that bring a unique touch of elegance to any bar setting. Whether for professional mixologists or home bar enthusiasts, limited-edition bar accessories transform the beverage preparation process into a refined and sophisticated experience, making every drink an exquisite creation.

Cheers to a Celeb party where contemporary ethos met cocktail couture, with a side of celeb sparkle! While it wasn’t quite Michael Rubins Fourth of July white party, it was still a night where fashion, flavour, and fun were served with a twist!”

Coach unveils new luxury “In My Tabby”- stories that make us stronger https://www.todaystraveller.net/coach-unveils-luxury-in-my-tabby-stories/ Sat, 01 Apr 2023 15:56:06 +0000 https://www.todaystraveller.net/?p=43789 Journey harder! That’s the motto of the Coach Family and they are celebrating it through ‘In My Tabby.’

Meet the inspiring cast – Lil Nas X, Camila Mendes, Kōki, and Wu JinYan – whose stories prove that what you carry makes you stronger.

Coach unveiled “In My Tabby,” a celebration of the defining moments that make us who we are, featuring the brand’s iconic silhouette, the Tabby bag.

Directed and photographed by Charlotte Wales, the campaign underscores the message that what we carry makes us stronger through the personal narratives of Coach Family. “In My Tabby” tells these stories through the lens of identity, constant evolution, and the journeys of the cast to become all of who they are today.

Coach - In My Tabby stories
In My Tabby stories

Reimagining and disrupting the popular “What’s In My Bag” phenomenon, the campaign redefines what we carry not just in terms of physical objects, but emotions—the experiences, personal journeys and aspirations that shape who we are—that we carry with us as we continue to create ourselves. In the films, Lil Nas X explores his future creative aspirations, Camila Mendes shares her story of embracing her multiple selves as a Brazilian-American actress; Kōki sheds light on trying new paths in life; and Wu JinYan  discusses turning career challenges into opportunities.

Stories of courage that are both authentic and accessible, these journeys capture the emotional message of self-creation central to “In My Tabby”—to inspire audiences to express and explore all of who they are. The stories also powerfully redefines fashion as a platform to tell human stories, and bags as symbols for something much more meaningful than style or status.

At the center of the story sits Coach Tabby, a modern icon the house has reimagined for the next generation’s spirit of individualism, fluidity, and courageous self-expression. Envisioned by Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers as a reimagination of an archival bag from the 70s and featuring Coach’s Signature hardware, the Tabby captures the brand’s quintessential American design language of character and craftsmanship for a new generation. Explored in recent years in a multitude of aesthetic iterations, the Tabby has also garnered cultural resonance through TikTok, where it gained a cult following.

Coach - In My Tabby stories
In My Tabby stories

“I’ve always believed that fashion should be about more than only style, it should be about community, and creating safe spaces where people feel free to express themselves,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “‘In My Tabby’ brings together our Coach Family and collaborators to celebrate stories of creativity and courage that embody our vision for Coach to inspire people to fully express all of who they are.”

“‘In My Tabby’ is a continuation of our journey to tell stories and connect emotionally with our audiences through the Courage to Be Real, our brand purpose focused on inspiring courageous self-expression and exploring all of who you are,” said Coach Global Chief Marketing Officer and North America President, Sandeep Seth.

Coach - In My Tabby stories
In My Tabby stories

“Today, we are only at the start of this journey, aiming to disrupt the traditional approach of putting the brand at the center of everything, instead shifting our focus to the consumer. Our goal is to create an emotional connection with Coach’s consumers through storytelling rooted in insights about their lives—and creating human experiences at every touchpoint across channels. With everything we do, we want to inspire people everywhere to have the confidence to express themselves in their way.”

Coach will additionally bring “In My Tabby” to life around the world with experiences including a series of colorful pop-ups and activations where customers can explore and discover the Coach Tabby bag that best fits their personality and style, and a metaverse experience created for Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week this month where users go inside a Coach Tabby bag and discover a world where they can interact with digital artists and collect Coach Tabby wearables designed in collaboration with AR fashion platform Zero10.

Coach showcases - In My Tabby stories

Coach will also introduce a new “Made to Order Tabby” service where customers can design their own Tabby with a choice of leather, colors, and hardware—offering the traditionally exclusive luxury experience of designing your bag to customers at an accessible price-point, further highlighting the Coach Tabby as the bag that’s truely for everyone.

Building on Coach’s Courage To Be Real mission introduced last fall, “In My Tabby” disrupts the role of the brand campaign to a powerful vehicle for telling human stories connected by a shared purpose. Part of a decisive shift integral to Coach’s broader vision of Expressive Luxury and its vision to evolve into a platform for the next generation’s self-expression, the stories aim to create emotional relevance with its Generation Z and younger Millennial target audiences—as reflected in its recent ranking on The Lyst Index: Fashion’s Hottest Brands.

Bottega Veneta’s creative Winter 23 show https://www.todaystraveller.net/bottega-venetas-creative-winter-23-show/ Tue, 28 Feb 2023 11:31:29 +0000 https://www.todaystraveller.net/?p=41982 Ready to be transported to the future? Get a glimpse of what’s to come as Bottega Veneta takes you on an electric journey with its glittering and futuristic Winter 2023 show!
Bottega Veneta
Winter 23

“A parade: The alchemy of the street is in the difference; who will you meet? What is around the corner? Who will amaze you? It is the surprise of the encounter that has importance, ” says Matthieu Blazy.

Bringing to a close his ‘Italia’ trilogy of shows, creative director Matthieu Blazy continues to celebrate and conflate the past, present, and future of the country with craft in motion. In this parade, techniques, motifs, characters, and creatures from the past travel through space and time to speak to the present and the future.

Bottega Veneta
Winter 23

A cacophony of influences, both animate and inanimate, becomes a polyphony. Each has its place and is part of the proceedings: from ancient Roman bronze runners (1BC); to Boccioni’s Futurist ‘Unique Forms of Continuity in Space’ (1913); to today’s collection for Winter 2023 that at times draws from both the mythology of antiquity and Futurism’s shape of things to come – quite literally in the cutting of ‘Boccioni’ silhouettes, present from Blazy’s foundation collection and expanded upon here.

The odyssey of the cast continues, and yet they are now character archetypes in transformation, mutable and moving, travelling from the ordinary to the extraordinary. There is a question of what it means to be chic and when it starts.

From the morning ritual of the bombshell in her transparent white chemise and bed socks (that dress belies its material complexity while those socks are knitted leather shoes) to the sartorially obsessed industrialist in his pinstriped nightshirt or ‘grey flannel’ pyjamas (all fully realised in Nappa leather). There is an exploration of the idea of ‘getting changed’ from its everyday meaning in the early silhouettes to its more fantastical promises later on, where a new mythology takes shape.

The parade is a place of priests and playboys, sleepwalkers, and streetwalkers with sirens of the screen and the ancient seas. Above all, it is a place where there is the joyful, emotional, and personal pleasure of dressing up, of gaining the confidence to be whoever the wearer wants to be through clothing.

Here, craft is reconfigured as innovation, with historical silhouettes revived and reinvented, scooped, boned, slit, and suspended. Botticelli’s Chloris and Flora from ‘Primavera’ (c1482) are reconfigured for today. The intricate silk hand embroideries were recreated and rearranged, a new turning of their metamorphosis.

The collection and show are treated like a game of Exquisite Corpse, where there is an unfolding of possibilities. Chimerical creatures emerge, transformed through cut and craft, splicing of codes of volume and technique, shaggy fil coupe jacquards, and the Intreccio take the form of a new kind of skin, becoming cascading scales and feathers, finding new configurations in clothing and leather goods. Murano glass gains added malleability as a medium, clutched by these new creatures when applied as the translucent handles of Sardine bags.

Bottega Veneta

It points to the end of one part of the Bottega Veneta story and the beginning of another, of a new mythology. “I loved the idea of the parade in Italy; a procession, a strange carnival, a crowd of people from anywhere and everywhere, and yet somehow, they all fit and go in the same direction. I wanted to look at what makes people gather together in a place without hierarchy, where everyone is invited,” says Matthieu Blazy.

Since its launch in 1966, Bottega Veneta logo has established itself as the destination for luxury leather goods crafted with utmost attention to detail. Expertly woven using their signature Intrecciato technique and created with clean lines and a classic palette, each piece is handmade by artisans based in Vicenza, Italy—reflecting a timeless sophistication unparalleled by other fashion houses. True to its motto that “Your own initials are enough,” all products carry only an inside label of recognition – perfect for those who seek understated elegance without relinquishing quality craftsmanship.

New Fall 2023 Collection by Coach https://www.todaystraveller.net/new-fall-2023-collection-by-coach/ Mon, 20 Feb 2023 12:03:47 +0000 https://www.todaystraveller.net/?p=41600 Coach debuted its Fall 2023 collection with a runway show at the Park Avenue Armory.

To introduce Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ vision for this season, the house held an intimate gathering in the Armory’s historic hall for a presentation where refinement combined with attitude to tell a story about individuality, community, and safe spaces where all are free to come as they are—just the way New York City intermingles people from all walks of life.

A celebration of the heritage silhouettes and codes that define Coach’s American fashion language, seen through the eyes of a new generation, Fall introduced shearling, leather, and denim pieces in youthful proportions and colors, and enriched with artisanal treatments.

The house brought a modern attitude to classic leather staples like trenches, jackets, and skirts, explored in floor-length silhouettes. Shearling, a house code, was introduced in new design concepts that highlighted a youthful approach to the material’s rugged attitude, including colorful metallic shearling, cropped and oversized aviator silhouettes with shearling-wrapped hardware and lovingly pre-worn shearling treated with a hand-finished technique.

Inspired by Vevers’ vision to redefine Coach craft through the lens of circularity by exploring, designing, and learning, the house also introduced new design concepts using sustainable materials. Fall debuted iterations of the season’s leather ready-to-wear crafted of upcycled leather scraps—each one unique. The house also expanded Coach (Re)Loved, its program focused on giving Coach bags a second life, by bringing its “Remade” pillar to footwear.

New Introductions

The collection introduced leather sneakers with the upper crafted from repurposed, pre-loved Coach bags, deconstructed and reimagined. The house also crafted a series of colorful, silk chiffon slip dresses, naturally dyed with botanicals like logwood, safflower, and marigold, and designed with minimal waste practices—using fabric scraps from pattern-cutting as embellishments. Finally, the collection introduced jewelry reimagined from repurposed vintage pieces.

In leather goods, Vevers introduced bags in Signature and colorful patent leather, including a mini-backpack and Penn, a pouch inspired by the house’s 2000s archives. The collection also included the Coach Shapes, a collection of bags in playful designs like lips, big apples, hearts, and stars, and an oversized leather tote crafted in vegetable-tanned leather, a showcase for the house’s legacy of leathercraft.

Additionally, the house continued to celebrate the beauty of love-worn, one-of-a-kind pieces, introducing hand-worked, distressed denim and form-fitting knitwear, mended and repaired by hand with Superman and Mickey Mouse graphics.

“Fall was inspired by our belief that when you show up as you really are, you inspire others to do so, too,” said Vevers. “The collection presents an authentic interpretation of the heritage and house codes that define Coach, redefined through the next generation’s concept of individuality and expression. There’s a straightforwardness that reflects where we’re headed in the future. To bring this to life on the runway, I envisioned an intimate gathering at the Armory that would not only celebrate freedom of self-expression, but the spirit of getting together and having fun that, to me, is the heart of fashion and of New York City.”

Inspired by New York house parties, the intimate presentation gave guests a close-up view of the collection, highlighting texture, spontaneous energy, and human connection.

The second Coach show was held at the Armory following the house’s Spring 2023 presentation last season, the experience blurred the lines between New York’s worlds, juxtaposing the Armory’s ornate, gilded rooms with the youthful attitude of the collection. The casting also introduced new faces to the runway through street casting, chosen to reflect the spirit of a new generation and the individuality that defines the collection.

“The Fall 2023 narrative evokes the universal feeling of joy that the season brings – a renewed sense of energy. It’s like a blank canvas, the beginning of something new,” shared Tom Mora and Jennifer Lyu. “There’s an excitement about getting back to a routine and getting dressed again…whether meeting friends for drinks, discovering a new restaurant, or stumbling upon an art exhibit, this collection celebrates these moments in everyday life and the unexpected that can happen.”

To give access to its larger digital community, Kate Spade New York has partnered with notable TikTok creators, Charles Gross and Madeleine White, to co-host a livestream that will offer behind-the-scenes access to New York Fashion Week through their own creative lenses. The livestream will be broadcast across the brand’s TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook channels, as well as on katespade.com.

Guests were greeted at the Whitney with a fleet of signature New York City taxis, all wrapped in the brand’s newly minted Pantone color – green – that will drive throughout Manhattan during New York Fashion Week from February 10-16.

Upon entering the museum, guests were ushered to the third floor and into the presentation space where the new collection was on display against a backdrop of the Hudson River. Musical performers from the Julliard School filled the space with a mashup of music, creating a custom soundscape that embodied the seasonal narrative.

To celebrate 30 years of Israel-India diplomatic relations, the Embassy of Israel in India collaborated with Indian designer Sahil Kochhar

This project is part of a campaign titled ‘Yachad’ – a Hebrew word meaning ‘together’. An event was organized in Delhi on August 17 to celebrate the occasion, where Israeli Embassy diplomats and project members from India came together to exchange ideas and share their experiences.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Israel to India H.E. Naor Gilon said, “This is a first-of-its-kind project which we hope will open doors for future possibilities and collaborations between the people of Israel and India in the diverse fields of culture, fashion, and lifestyle.  Showcasing Indian designs inspired by Israeli landscapes led to this beautiful project, which has further strengthened the close friendship and growing partnership between our two nations.”

This collection and campaign we have shot around it are very special to me as it represents two beautiful cultures coming together. The collection is inspired by the diverse landscapes of Israel, incorporating the same as artwork on the clothes.”

For this campaign, the designer and his team spent several months scouting talents from Israel who are the best at their craft. The models that were selected were not just professional models but also included local talent from all over Israel, including the younger generation from different walks of life, athletes, artists, surfers & the parkour community of the country.
